ATB – 2022 Spring Break Skills Academy

Not going to Mexico for Spring Break?  Looking for something to do?  How about MORE baseball with Coach Mandleur and members of the ATB Staff?

The Spring Break Skills Academy is open to players 8u-12u  who are looking to develop higher level skills, broaden their understanding of both individual and team strategy, concepts, as well as individual skills at all positions and at the plate.

Times: 9:00AM -10:45AM (Session 1)

11:15AM -1:00PM (Session 2)

Some of the areas we will cover (depending on age groups):

  • Throwing/Pitching Mechanics
  • Hitting mechanics and strategy
  • Fielding/glove work/footwork/
  • Fielding Mechanics- cuts, routes, reads, 1st/3rd, bunt defense, PFs
  • Base Running- steals, reads, leads
  • Position specific skills
  • Conditioning
  • Daily Game to end the session

Skills Session Structure: Before session players will arrive and get right to work- run stretch, throw. From there we move into the different skills by position or area on field. Hitting will be mixed into the skills portion of each day – small group and one on one time with a hitting coach. Following the skills portion we will work on team concepts and strategy based on the specific set of skills we focused on that day. We end each day with a live player pitched scrimmage.
